Versatile musician eager for creation, flutist-improviser-composer Cléo Palacio-Quintin has developed an original artistic approach that combines interpretation, improvisation and composition and in which the integration of digital technologies occupies a prominent place. She participates in numerous premieres and multidisciplinary performances in addition to composing instrumental and electroacoustic music for various ensembles and media works. She performs regularly as a soloist and improviser in several creation projects. She is a member of the Ensemble SuperMusique, a variable geometry formation entirely devoted to the interpretation of contemporary music and improvisation, which brings together high-caliber improvisers in Montreal.

Her works have been performed by herself or by various ensembles from several countries including: England, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, the United States, France, Italy, Norway, the Netherlands , Sweden and Switzerland. She is the first woman to obtain a Doctorate in electroacoustic composition at the University of Montreal (2012).
