Cléo Palacio-Quintin presents for the CEM a segment of an electro-acoustic suite in 12 movement entitled Aléas. Supported here and there by texts by the poet and writer Thierry Dimanche, her music combines fixed forms rigorously written with others where the musicians are called upon to improvise from images or interactive instructions.
With the hyper-flute, or augmented flute, Cléo Palacio-Quintin can modify electronic effects parameters with her movements or assigned keys to trigger sounds and textures unusual to the instrument.
