Determined to develop his guitar style in parallel with his experience as an electric bass player, Stéphane Beaulieu composes soaring and melodious music augmented by effect pedals. For his idealistic-looking texts, he relies on the voice of Sandrine Thibault, who also does direct processing using delay and loops. And then, to his delight, Antoine Simard on double bass and Réal Gagnon on drums provide a solid and inspiring rhythm section. Eclectic influences, the result is music with folk accents, jazz with a psychedelic rock tendency that is characterized by catchy melodies on complex chord progressions and dreamlike improvisations.
