Eric Nomand is a composer, improviser, bass player, concert producer, instruments designer and record producer. He defines himself as an epidisciplinary artist, a free electron animated by the spirit of the meeting. For him, composition does not exist without the exchange. It consists of the arrangement of a space supportive for improvisation. Amongst the counterparts who collaborated to his composition of production projects, are sound recorders, radio producers, musicians of sound artists. Geographically offset (he lives in Rimouski), he questions the very notion of distance. He designs and builds portable instrumentations while involving musicians in projects conceived through basic communication devices or high-technologies. Throughout his wanderings, he lends himself to improvisation. His most recent meetings include, Pierre-Yves Martel, Danielle Palardy Roger, Magali Babin et Anne-Françoise Jacques. His music has been played in several festivals in Canada - Festival des Musiques de Création (Jonquière), Reflux (Moncton), Productions SuperMusique (Montreal), Mois Multi (Québec) - and in Europe - Festival Rue de Nord (Switzerland), Festival des Musiques Insolentes (France), Les Rencontres à l'Échelle (France), etc. -  while being heard on Radio Canada's airwaves, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, CBB, Radio-Grenouille et several student radios.
