Stella Adjokê arrives at CEM with an eclectic musical vision in support of her poetry and her original slam. A project where blues, R&B, reggae and jazz styles, to name a few, blend with the colors of local musicians to create an authentic and unifying performance in which the creator wishes to address this necessary need to return and reconcile with her origins to rally in a positive way to her multiple roots in order to live better in the immediate future and to contribute to a future free of trauma.

Montreal artist who carries as much the roots of her Quebecois / Polish mother, her little-known Jamaican father, as those of her Haitian father-in-law, Stella Adjokê goes from blues singing to electric slam in her songs. She is also a poet, writer, actress and host. Published in three collective works, her atypical career strongly feeds her art of social justice.
Her music is designed with a view to healing, to transcend wounds, to free oneself. In 2021, she landed a creative residency at the Racines bookstore in partnership with the Association des Libraires du Québec and the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec. She released her EP Mon monde in 2017, bringing together 5 tracks at the crossroads of soul, RnB and blues.
